Welcome to Gubblyckan (cottage no 1) and the Old Barn on the farm Mellangarden (cottage no 2). The two cottages are situated in the hamlet of Ryda. Gubblyckan is solitary located on a woodland meadow while the Old Barn stands nicely among the other buildings of the farm. The distance between the houses is about 400 m.

The hamlet of Ryda is situated in a wooded area in southern Östergötland close to the large lake Åsunden. In the lake there are many small islands and islets; and plenty of opportunities for bathing and fishing in the clean and clear waters of the lake will be given. The nature is very hilly; and arable- and pasture-land alternate with woodland. Close to the farm there are nice areas for country rambles on forest paths and roads. The environment is peaceful and tranquil; and most often helps our quests to relax.

Excursions are recommended to e.g.: Idhult nature reserve (10 km), Astrid Lindgren´s World in the provincial town of Vimmerby (50 km), Vastervik and Linkoping (70 km each). Kisa, at a distance of 25 km, is the chief municipality of the area.
